Open

I’ve had a hard time learning to open up
Now I won’t close this door because of you
What I feel is pure
I’ll remain true to myself
No matter how wounded or hurt
I won’t stop being me
If you can’t handle it
It’s okay or maybe a shame
But again, that will not change me
I won’t lock myself up
Not now, not again
For I evolve and lessons learned are lessons learned
I’d better be left with nothing
than knowing I died
letting the ones I love unaware of it
